Announcements are notices to your community, and are displayed on the main page of the Spirit app and on Spirit Stream.
You can edit announcements in the Admin Console under Announcements. The announcement page will show different announcements under "Active", "Scheduled", and "In-Active". The "Active" section displays announcements which are currently showing to users, "Scheduled" displays your queued announcements, and "Archive" has past announcements.
Creating an announcement
- On your computer, open the Admin Console.
- In the navigation panel on the left, click Announcements.
- Click on New Announcements.
- Enter a name for the announcement, for example "Survey". You may also optionally enter a URL where the banner should link to when clicked.
- Select the "Show From" and "Show To" dates. The announcement will only be visible within Spirit during this time.
- To create a banner using our built in editor click on Design with Canva. You must have a Canva account to use this and you will be asked to login.
- If you'd rather upload your own image, the image must be a 1160x464 JPEG and you can upload this by clicking Upload Image.
- Click Create.
Editing an announcement
- On your computer, open the Admin Console.
- In the navigation panel on the left, click Announcements.
- Click on the announcement you would like to edit.
- You are able to edit the name, link, and scheduled time. Once you have designed the initial image, you can not change the image. If you'd like to change the image you must delete the announcement and make a new one.
- Click Save.
Deleting an announcement
- On your computer, open the Admin Console.
- In the navigation panel on the left, click Announcements.
- Click on the announcement you would like to delete.
- Click Delete.
